Chapter 1: South African History

The country sits on the Southernmost tip of Africa and is surrounded on three sides by ocean. The Indian and Atlantic oceans meet at Cape Agullus which is the most Southerly point of Africa.

Chapter 6: Ancient & Top 5 Sports

Jukskei is believed to have originated around 1743 in the Cape, South Africa developed by "transport riders" who traveled with ox-drawn wagons. They used the wooden pins of the yokes (Afrikaans: Skei) of the oxen to throw at a stick that was planted into the ground. This game was also played during the Great Trek.

The Boerboel, also called the South African Mastiff, South African Boerboel, Borbull or simply the Bole, is a South African dog whose devotees claim is the only breed in the world specifically bred only to guard and protect.

Chapter 9: South African Tourism

The Drakensberg escarpment stretches more than 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) from the Eastern Cape Province in the South, and forms the border between Lesotho and the Eastern Cape and the border between Lesotho and KwaZulu- Natal Province. Thereafter it forms the border between KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State, and next as the border between KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga Province.

There are two distinct species of African elephant. African Forest Elephant and the African Bush Elephant. Elephants are difficult to hunt because, despite their large size, they are able to hide in tall grass and are more likely to charge than the other species.
